What did Klitschko say about Solomyanka and mourning?

Every casualty figure in this piece is from Reuters’ 08:55 dispatch unless another outlet is named. Ukrainian authorities on Telegram: at least 12 dead, about thirty wounded. Klitschko, in the same Reuters story: seven died in a strike on a residential building in Solomyanka. He declared Friday a day of mourning. The 12 and the 7 are not added together a second time. They are two attributions inside one dispatch.

Klitschko, still on Telegram via Reuters, said two other districts were also hit. Damaged, in that account: non-residential facilities, warehouses, a school and a children’s hospital. Reuters does not say a missile struck Poland, and this article does not say so. Romania’s Defence Ministry said on Thursday that a drone had crashed on its territory during the Russian attack on Ukraine. Moldova’s armed forces said a drone also overflew Moldovan airspace. Crash and overflight are different verbs. They stay different here.

What remains unknown — and what this piece does not merge?

Reuters at 08:55 does not close the toll. It carries “at least 12” and “about thirty.” It does not name the dead. It does not say which missile hit which building beyond Klitschko’s Solomyanka attribution. It does not say the children’s hospital was struck as a confirmed aiming point; it says it was damaged, in Klitschko’s Telegram account. The Independent, separately, notes that the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia plant switched to emergency diesel after high-voltage line damage, with radiation described as normal, and that it is not immediately clear whether that outage is linked to the overnight barrage. This article does not assert a link.

Poland’s scramble, Romania’s crash and Moldova’s overflight are neighbour airspace facts. They are not Kyiv’s 12. Zelensky’s note to Witkoff and Kushner is a transmission this month, not a ceasefire.
